Relationships between Christians and Jews spans multiple continents and 2000 years. We will focus on three primary sources from three different periods: the Christian Bible/Late Antiquity, Middle Ages, and modernity. Each session will be spent analyzing the primary source and contextualizing them. We will discuss anti-Semitic texts but also look at Jewish anti-Christian sentiment in order to complicate any simple understanding of Jewish-Christian relations.
