TORAH TOTS/PRE-KTorah Tots/Pre-Kindergarten is a hands-on experience for Jewish children and families. Students will experience Jewish holidays, synagogue life and interact with the Hebrew Alef-Bet. For many students, this will be their first experience with prayers and Hebrew songs. Through an interactive, hands-on approach students will gain an enthusiasm for being Jewish and a first taste of prayers, Hebrew letters and Mitzvot (Commandments). KINDERGARTENStudents will be introduced to weekday and Shabbat morning prayers. Students will have hands-on experiences with Jewish holidays, Mitzvot (Commandments) and Torah. Students will be introduced to Hebrew letters visually and kinesthetically. Students will experience Jewish music, synagogue life and family activities. GRADE 1Students will begin learning how to read Hebrew letters. Students will broaden their knowledge of Israel, Torah, Mitzvot (Commandments) and holidays. Students will become more involved in the weekday Shachrit and Friday evening Shabbat services. |
